Energy Healing pulls out unconscious pain
Energy Healing calms the nervous system and heals the underlying causes of your stress. Stress chemicals are pulled out while filling you with calming light. Reiki and Sound Healing are the most researched Energy Healing modalities. National Institutes of Health says that Reiki “promotes health and better sleep with a reduction the time to fall asleep and in nightmares, and an increase in sleeping hours.” Crystal Sound Bowl meditation has been shown to have positive effects on mood, anxiety, pain, and spiritual well-being.

Daytime worries creep into sleep(lessness)
Are you feeling unsafe about relationships, money, job, or health? Most night agitation starts during the day with daytime worry and stress to bed with us and then wake up anxious. Research shows that emotional issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression cause half of all insomnia cases. Your daytime habits, sleep routine, and physical health may also play a role. Emotional and mental dis-ease are pre-cursors to physical symptoms. Dealing with or making peace with life’s stressors often resolve or reduce insomnia.
7 emotional and mental steps to better sleep

Give yourself total self-acceptance. Know that sleeplessness WILL pass. Your autonomic system knows exactly how to sleep.

Set the intention for sleep. Establish a routine bedtime to alert your body that it is time to sleep. Tell yourself to feel peaceful. Establish and tell yourself to sleep peacefully until _ (wake-up time).

Clear yourself and your space of negativity. Adhere to old adage of, “Don’t go to bed mad.”
How? Intention is THE strongest clearing agent. You could combine intentions with energy healing, self Reiki, mantras and commands, prayer, meditation, music/crystal bowls, journaling….Experiment to learn what works best for you. I change up my strategy depending upon how balanced I feel, but I always include:

Establish a pre-sleep ritual to relax. Dim the lights. Give yourself a feel-good experience beforehand outside of the bed; pray, meditate, self-Reiki, listen to music, read, or gently stretch. Establish a boundary that the bed is for sleep and sex—not thinking or using a blue screen.
Combine any of the above by consciously putting negative thoughts and worries in a vault. You may visualize this as God’s vault for extra power. Decide to retrieve them in the morning or surrender them to the Higher Power.

Change your daytime habits—moderate your response to stress. If you can’t change your stress-filled situation, you have the power to change your chemistry. You control your feelings and response. Look for moments to stop and breathe deeply and put a smile on your face—even 15 seconds at a time can make a difference.

Change your chemistry. Your body is YOUR chemistry project. Address physical stimulants like caffeine and the mental and emotional stimulants like your response to stress. Your subconscious must obey you. Balance your body chemistry through intentional thoughts. Ask your body and mind to prepare for peaceful sleep mode. Ask your brain wave frequency, hormones, and polarity to optimize for sleep.

Hug to feel safe and loved. This is the last thing we do before sleep. Dr Ramlakhan says, “Hug yourself for at least one minute while in bed to feel safe.” Place your right hand under your left armpit, and place your left arm over your right arm, with your left hand gently but firmly resting on your right shoulder. Focus on breathing deeply and consciously relax.
Give yourself Energy Healing
- You can control your energy. Your subconscious must obey you. Command your energy system to go to Peaceful Sleep Mode. Tell your brain wave frequency, polarity, and chemistry to optimize for sleep.

Clear your thoughts and feelings. See your mind as a white board you wipe clean. Use Learn how to heal yourself. Listen to a sleep meditation or use gentle yoga.

Pray or meditate. Turn over anything that troubles you to the Higher Power. I often visualize putting your concerns into God’s vault for the night. You decide in the morning whether you retrieve the negative thoughts and feelings. Ask that sleep is peaceful, restorative, and rejuvenative. Ask to be taking to the Sleep Healing Chamber if you are feeling stressed.

Call in the Sleep Angels to hold sacred space. If asked, they clear and make the bedroom a Sleep Healing Chamber. They calm the mental and emotional. They reconnect you to your Higher Power.
Awake in the night? Give yourself more energy healing
If you awake anxious, a small-child part of you that feels unsafe. Is the root cause mental or emotional or physical? Physical reasons like too much caffeine, drugs, alcohol, or medicine in your system often. Treat yourself like you feel, a young, scared child. Create a feeling of comfort and safety for yourself. Never scold yourself to avoid pushing yourself further into fight-or-flight mode.

- Breathe. Healthline offers 8 breathing exercises for sleep. I like the alternate nostril breathing to balance the right and left brain. Close one nostril and slowly breathe deeply in and out through the other nostril. Release and close the other nostril. Slowly breathe deeply in and out. Switch nostrils and continue for 3-5 minutes.
- Experience your senses. How do the sheets and bed feel against your skin? What are the smells in the room? Drink some water. How does it taste? Get yourself out of the mind and into the body. Get yourself back in your body into the now moment.
- Stretch for energy healing, Tell your body to clear the stress chemicals. Consciously relax each part of your body, then get in a position that tells your body it’s time for sleep.
