Let your body heal your mind

Heal yourself with deep breathing, a spiritual healing practice. You take up to 23,000 breaths per day. Breathing literally brings life into your body. Each time you take a breath, you bring in life force energy. Your breath gives you energy. As you breathe out, you expel toxins and waste.
The breath is an energetic connection that brings life to our body. You breathe in Divine energy that gives you energy, literally activating the sympathetic nervous system. As you let go of waste through the exhale, the body relaxes through the parasympathetic nervous system. You connect with the Divine, all that is.
The breath connects with your own Higher Self power within. You experience a heightened awareness of your senses that makes experiences clearer and more accurate.

Does stress cause you to breathe shallowly?
When anxious or stressed, people either breathe shallowly, taking in much less oxygen than the body needs or over breathes where hyperventilation occurs. In either case, damages the cells. Symptoms of over breathing include spasms or cramps in the hands and feet, and muscle twitching.

”The perfect breath is this: Breathe in for about 5.5 seconds, then exhale for 5.5 seconds. That’s 5.5 breaths a minute for a total of about 5.5 liters of air.”

According to Breath, deep belly breathing that uses your whole torso (diaphragmatic breathing) causes your body to relax—it acts as a stress reset button. When you are breathing fully, you bring simultaneous coherence or balance to your body, mind, and spirit. You sync your heart rate, heart rate variability, blood pressure, and brainwave function.

Inhale softly for 5.5 seconds. Put your hand on your belly to make sure you are fully expanding.

Without pausing, Exhale softly for 5.5 seconds, emptying your lungs completely.

Repeat at least 10 times or MORE

According to the National Institutes of Health, diaphragmatic breathing (breathing in and out fully where your diaphragm raises and lowers), “Studies have revealed that diaphragmatic breathing practice to be an effective non-pharmacological intervention for emotion enhancement, including a reduction in anxiety, depression, and stress….Diaphragmatic breathing improves cognitive performance.”
