Breathe for better health and spiritual healing

Change your thoughts. Change your life.
October 2, 2021“People that slouch, cross their legs, and make themselves appear smaller have different brain chemistry than powerful individuals. They feel less powerful and are more pessimistic.”
— DR. AMY CUDDY
Energy Healing connects you to your body
Your body is wise and holds your intuition. I learned that injury can disconnect the body from the mind after surgery. Confusion results when the mind and body at odds. The heart may pull you in a new career field or towards a love interest and you may feel this in your body, but your mind says, “I want this career” or “This person isn’t right for me because….” Anxiety, grief, and physical pain also separate the body and mind.
Physical pain can also interrupt your ability to connect with my Guides and Angels. It is impossible to get clear guidance without a strong relationship between the body and mind.
Energy Healing clears blocks in your body and between the mind and body. Each modality we offer Reiki, Intuitive Energy Healing, Sound Healing, Access Bars, or Energy Clearing, gets energy moving in your body.
Ask yourself daily, “Body: What do you need today?”
Feel the Power!
Have you ever noticed that superheroes stand with their hands on their hips and feet firmly planted in a wide stance? Dr. Amy Cuddy coined the position, “Power Pose” in her Your Body Language May Shape Who You Are TED Talk. Harvard research shows that the way you hold your body directly affects the way you think and feel about yourself and impacts the way you think about your world. Our body posture strongly impacts the way others feel about you, too. Use the Power Pose before high-stress situations to feel stronger, more focused and confident, and fully balanced in my body.
-
Stand up with feet spread wider than hip width.
-
Feel your feet firmly planted on the ground.
-
Put your hands on your hips.
-
Stand up straight and tall.
-
Just breathe deeply and fully exhale for two minutes.
“In just two minutes, our body change our mind, and our mind can change our behavior and our behavior can change our outcomes. [If] it feels fake, fake it until you make it…Get your testosterone up. Get your cortisol down…[in] two minutes.” – Dr. Amy Cuddy According to Healthline, testosterone helps us regulate muscles mass and bones, our mood, sex drive, and verbal memory. WebMD says that excess cortisol causes anxiety and depression, headaches, memory and cognition challenges, and sleeping challenges.
Non-verbal Communications
Your non-verbal language tells your body and the world how to feel. You also communicate to others how to feel. Key non-verbal communications include:
-
Smile. Dr. Isha Gupta, a neurologist from IGEA Brain and Spine explains, a smile spurs a chemical reaction in the brain releasing hormones…that increases our feelings of happiness and reduces stress.” Science has shown that simply smiling can lift your mood, lower stress, boost your immune system and possibly even prolong your life.
-
Body language affects self-confidence. Neuroregulation Journal recently published an articles that found, “By slumping, we’re telling out subconscious selves that we are not safe. And the more we feel unsafe, the more difficult it is to focus our minds and concentrate on solving a problem.” Sitting up straight in your chair isn’t just good for your posture – it also gives you more confidence in your own thoughts. When you slouch, you compress the space for your lungs, reducing their capacity by up to 30 percent. That means less oxygen can get to your brain.
-
Relaxed muscles tells your emotional self and other people you are happy. Tell yourself and your listeners you are confident, alert, and in command of yourself as you consciously relax your body.
-
Facial expressions. Your face communicates how you feel.
-
Open hands. According to Psychology Today, Open hands tell others you are being honest and open and you are an expert in what you are talking about.
-
Voice. The tone, cadence, and words communicate how a person is feeling. Voice Science Works tells us, “The limbic system, the master of emotions, communicates with the nerves in the larynx, meaning that the way someone is feeling can directly control how they physically produce their sound.” Use a pause, touch, or facial expression to let people know that they are being heard.
